Saturn, Uranus, Pluto 2022-2024

We are living in a catalytic time of great change. We are entering a new era, a new way of being from 2027, an era where we operate from a place of doing things because it feels right and not from a place of fear. The old paradigm is ending. We have 5 years to align with the new way and 2022 -2024 are going to be pivotal years in this process. In terms of consciousness, humanity is like an adolescent, we need to grow up, we need to mature. We need to evolve. The planets are support us in our evolution.

Here I want to focus on the transits of Saturn, Uranus and Pluto until 2024. If we look at the planetary aspects and how the planets transit through gates of the Human design system, we get a picture of what it is we need to learn, master, awaken and how we can expand and grow over the next couple of years

Astrology

“Alignments between Saturn and Uranus are a collision between the old and the new – times when change becomes unavoidable.

Saturn Square Uranus – The Long Process Of Change. The slow-moving planetary transits are slow… and the transformation they bring takes time, it is subtle, and not very obvious. but you can bet that there is a massive rewiring going on, in the background. Saturn-Uranus squared in February, June and December 2021 however keep in mind that this is an ongoing process.

Saturn and Uranus couldn’t be more different, however the paradox is that they work well together. Once the Saturn work is done, Uranus is the one that takes over from Saturn. Uranus comes with the promise of freedom and enlightenment, but the path to freedom and enlightenment goes through Saturn. We may all be free conscious beings by design, but we are simply not aware of this UNTIL, we master Saturn.

Saturn is the last planet visible to the naked eye, and rules over time and the material world. Uranus is the first ‘invisible’ planet which means we cannot see it without a telescope. That’s why Uranus is associated with things that are ‘invisible’: the sky, intuition, divine insight – things that are immaterial, things that transcend matter. Uranus gives us the promise that there is more to life than the material world as we know it.

Saturn and Uranus have opposite functions. Saturn creates structures. Uranus beaks these structures so that a new, superior order can emerge.

Saturn keywords are restriction, limitation, structure, boundaries, stability, rules, control, discipline, authority, responsibility, mastery. Saturn’s energy is contracting and stabilizing.

Uranus represents the need for freedom and change. Uranus transits bring sudden and unexpected breakdowns and breakthroughs, flashes of insight and awakenings, rebellion and revolution. Uranus’ energy is unpredictable and electrifying, stirring things up and creating excitement and restlessness.

They DO the work, no matter how long it takes. The changes the Saturn-Uranus square will bring, will be long-lasting and will impact our society – and us, individuals in a profound way.” – AstroButterfly

The Saturn-Uranus Cycle

“The Saturn Uranus cycle takes about 45 years, with each major cycle transit building on the events of the last. The current Saturn-Uranus cycle started in 1988 (with the conjunction in Sagittarius) and will end in 2032 (with the conjunction in Gemini).

The 1st square of the cycle occurred between 1999-2000, and the opposition between 2008-2010. The last major transit of the cycle is the current Saturn-Uranus square (2021-2022). This is the 2nd and final square, also called a waning square, and comes with the biggest developments. The waning squares have a 10th house energy. As you may know, the 10th house is connected to our career and purpose in life. The 10th house is a very ‘manifesting’ house, which means things are likely to happen, coming to some sort of culmination and resolution.” – AstroButterfly

Human Design

Saturn

Is the great Teacher who helps us to master, grow and expand. Saturn puts you back on track if you are out of alignment. Saturn is always there to help you grow and knows what to bring into your reality in order to do that.

It is necessary to mature the Saturn gates of your chart to get back into alignment with purpose individually. When we look at it from the perspective of the collective, the Saturn themes are those which we need to mature and master collectively on the planet.

Saturn is known for taking things down to the foundation in order to rebuildand brings a collective challenge for us to fulfill.

Saturn Finishes 2021 in gate 19 moving to gate 13 on 13th January 2022 then dancing between gates 13, 49 and 30 throughout 2022. The themes change to gates 55 and 37 in 2023-2024.

19 -The Gate of Wanting or Intimacy – I-Ching The Approach of Spring. (10/11/2021 – 12/1/2022)

This is the energy that fuels our social needs. To provide support and the need to have support of the community. It fuels the drive to ensure the community exists and that there is a place in the community for this energy.

Saturn wants us to learn how to manage being highly sensitive, to read the emotional environment and to not let sensitivity cause us to compromise what we want or who we are. To learn not martyr ourselves to the needs of others. To learn to be emotionally intimate without being shut down or co-dependent. There is a call for emotional honesty. Also being sensitive to basic needs so there are necessary resources for support of the community and tribe

When this energy is imbalanced we become disconnected from others as a way of coping with being sensitive, bringing themes of isolation, numbness, overwhelm or neediness.

When we master the energy of the gate 19 we are connected, we sense the emotional needs of others and the community. We bring emotional energy back into alignment. We can be emotionally vulnerable and present increasing heart to throat connection and communication. It is important to to stay alert and note the changing signs of the times.

13- Gate of the Listener – I Ching – Fellowship (with Man) (13.1.22 – 1.3.22 and 5.10.22 – 9.11.22)

Direction is a projection through which the collective is pointed towards the possibilities of the future.

The Gate 13 brings with it universal ideas and values in an ordered framework which inspires humanistic co-operation. We have the opportunity to forgive the past and redefine who we are every day. We are encouraged to tell a personal narrative that is empowering and self-loving, which reflects our value and authentic self.

What new narrative will we create collectively when we are all living from our authentic selves?

We bear witness to the pain and narrative of others in order to offer them a better story so they can expand. This is the energy for giving direction once the story has been shared. The gate 13 gives us the opportunity to bring the past into the present and heal it in order to leave the past behind and create a better future. This is a special energy that requires and brings compassion and wisdom.

You may ask yourself:

What can I do to hear others better?

What do I need to do to hear and listen to my own guidance better?

In the I Ching the gate 13 is the Fellowship with Man. Collectively, when communal bonds unite a group of people great success is possible. Developing bonds with open communication and empathy. The broader the perspective, the greater good that can be achieved. We need to embrace the power of diversity. The greater the potential good, the more powerful the energy of support behind it. The community’s strength lies not just in the number of people but in the diverse skills and he collective resources of the community.

49- The Gate of Principles – I Ching – Revolution (2.3.22 – 4.5.22 and 6.7.22 – 4.10.22 and 10.11.22 -19.1.23)

Revolution is the potential awareness to know what or whom is needed or not in order to maintain or restructure the community

The 49 seeks support of the gate 19 ( which is the other end of the channel) in return for the guarantee of food and social access. The 49 is situated on the Emotional solar plexus centre, this emotional energy rides the waes or hope and pain.

This energy of Revolution is approached wth deliberation and clarity. Action is taken if the rules and principles of the relationship have been violated. So whilst we may see this energy playing out in our personal relationships, collectvely we are looking at the relationship between the collective (people) and the system. This energy gices us tthe impetus to move out of unhealthy situations, relationships and agreements which are out of alignment with our principles. It enables us to have the courage to radically change and renew the way we bring ourselves to life.

Saturn in the gate 49 signifies a time in the cycle of human affairs when things are stirring up and when the hint of dramatic change is in the air.

In order to succeed, the Revolution must be in alignment with the laws of nature amd good timing. It must begin at the right moment and gather support of a broad base of people. The strength of the force of change will always be proportionate to the urgency of the need. Revolutionary change is a period when chaos arises from order.

30 – The Gate of Desire/Intensity – I Ching – The Clinging Fire ( 5.5.22 – 5.7.22 and 20.1.23 – 8.3.23)

When events seem foreboding or people seem oppressive, remember the good that has been and is yet to be. Holding to this idea is to cling to the power of the light, the only force that can illuminate the darkness.

This energy is all about creating new experiences, either life-enhancing or chaotic or both. This is an emotional energy that longs to express itself and has desires. Waiting for right timing is crucial in order to express itself correctly. It is important to be mindful that not everyone feels the same intensity or has the same desires. The intensity can push others away.

This energy of desire and feeling is a thirst for destiny and a hunger for change. The emotional wave moves from pain to hope and true emotional awareness lies bewteen these two poles. It is the feelings of pain and hope which initiates the yearning for change.

Through the webs of our interdependence, we see that everything is related. Awareness of your attachment to other people is the key that opens the dor to knowing your true place in the world.

Fire is a symbol of liberation, by clinging to what is natural and appropriate we gain inner freedom. In spite of challenges, cling to what is luminous inside yourself, in others and in life itself. Never forget your positive attachment to the highest good. When we are masterfully navigate Saturn in the gate 30 we are full of intense passionate commitment to a vision both individually and collectively.

It is not until March 2023 that Saturn moves into gate 55 and then moves between 55 and 37 throughout the year and into 2024

55 – The Gate of Spirit – I Ching – Abundance (9.3.23 – 5.5.23 and 1.8.23 – 25.1.24)

Abundance is strictly a question of Spirit.

Abundance is the microcosm of life in form. The cup is always present and there is always something in the cup, our lives.. In the wave of emotions, the cup can be perceived as half full or half empty. We find the spirit in the emotional Now. Our spirit is the source of abundance.

This energy is all about having faith and trusting in the abundance of Spirit as Source. This is another gate situated on the Emotional Solar plexus. When you are aware of Spirit as the source of abundance and maintain the emotional frequency of abundance you create the possibility of abundance. This powerful awareness is necessary to push the collective conscious into creating the possibility of abundance for everyone. In terms of sustainability, abundance comes into full force when a group is unified around a common goal.

Saturn is teaching us that it is mastery to show benevolence and share the fruits of good fortune. Think of doing good deeds as a buffer against scarcity in the future. With this cmes freedom from lack consciousness and victim mentality.

37 – Gate of Friendship – I Ching – Family (6.5.23 – 30.7.23 and 26.1.24-11.3.24)

The manifestation macro and microcosm of the organic nature of communities

This energy wants Harmony, it calls us to work for peace. Joining with others to create agreements that bring peace and harmony through clear, sincere and respectful communication. Trust is built through shared responsibilities and good communication. When we all work together, we create the resources necessary to sustain us all.

We are being asked to offer support and friendship to others. We need to learn to listen and receive help from others. To be willing to assume an appropriate role in any group you belong to in order to establish support and maintain your communities. Each person is encouraged to find their position and make their appropriate contribution. To be the outstretched arms that embrace the outsider.

The forces that bind a family, not necessarily blood family, but the whole of humanity, are a balance of feminine and masculine, the nurturing and the receptive combined with the outgoing leadership and taking responsibility. Relations of all kinds are improved through cultivation of a yin-yang, open- responsible balance. A balance that brings advocacy, tenderness and equality.

63 – Gate of Doubt – I Ching – After Completion (12.3.24 – 4.5.24 and 26.8.24 – 27.1.25)

Fulfillment is attained through recognising that everything is ultimately in its right place and order

Doubt and suspicion are energies commonly related to this gate. These energies are used correctly when directing them towards information and not at the self or each ther. We can utilise doubt and suspicion to seek the validity of information, to seeek proof. In this way we can correct the way in which information is expressed in the world.

The state of ‘After Completion’ is a time of refining, fine tuning what has been accomplished or put out into the world.

Take whatever is successful or already established and carefully maintain it without trying to expand it now. Conversely, what is incomplete should be brought to fruition without delay. Take satisfaction upon completion, enjoy every sense of fulfillment but do not linger too long on endings.

Look at completion not as an ending but as a harmonious plateau in the constancy of change and movement. Completion is the pause in the cycle of creation and decay. A momentary stillpoint from the swinging pendulum of life.

22- Gate of Openness – I Ching – Grace (5.5.24 – 25.8.24)

A quality of behaviour best suited in handling mundane and trivial situations

It is the quality of the emotional spirit which will condition how receptive the collective will be to individual awareness. The possibility is to empower others with the individual emotion. In Human affairsm Grace is aligned with mastery of aesthetic and cultural forms honed by time and tradition.

This energy is about mastering inner beauty and grace. It is the energy of being gracious or dis-graceful. Take care to lend grace and dignity to small matters while giving the weight of deep and careful consideration to matters of great consequence. Grace brings success in all matters.

Uranus

Uranus is all about Evolutionary Expansion and is known as the Great Awakener.

Uranus transits and cycles bring unexpected events that catalyse us into evolution or to support our evolution. In our individual Human Design charts, our Uranus energies are the place where we grow and expand. Collectively, when we look at the gates that Uranus is in during the next 2 -3 years we can see the opportunities that we have for mastery and evolution, through Uranus, in these awakening themes.

Uranus ends 2021 in gate 24 and stays there until April 2022 when it moves to gate 2 then 23 briefly in August and back to gate 2 until May 2023. then back to 23 for rest of 2023 and into 2024

24- The Gate of Rationalisation – I Ching -Returning (25.10.21 – 7.4.22)

The natural and spontaneous process of transformation and renewal.

This gate is associated with turning the darkness back into light. This is the cusp of a turnaround, a time of letting go of the old and making way for the new. A time of new beginnings that all starts with rest.

Don’t move too fast. A turnaround requires that your energy be recharged by adequate rest, to allow energy to renew itself and be strengthened. Followed by the careful development of new relationships after the splitting apart of the old ones.

This is the energy for rationalising in the process of change. This is a powerful energy for moving forward that requires focus, intention and letting go of what isn’t working.

I focus on what is working, what is aligning and I trust that all that is good will grow.

This is a mental energy that finds a way to communicate inspiration to the collective. By pondering over and over, the energy or inspiration is transformed into a rational form. To rationalise is a risk, a test of the Spirit. There is no proof, logic or experience, there is only the potential that is rationalised into true knowing.

2 – The Keeper of the Keys – I Ching The Receptive (8.4.22 – 13.8.22 and 4.9.22 – 8.5.23)

This is the most yin Hexagram of the I Ching. This is the power of the feminine principle ( which has not been honoured in the modern world for some time). This receptivity is powerful and healing. Receptivity is often overlooked by too much thinking and planning. By flowing with the receptivity, we allow ourselves to be guided by a higher power, the power of Inner Knowing, Higher Knowing.

This gate is the seat of the Driver, the Higher Self. The ‘self’ is unaware. This is potential to evolve if we allow the Higher Self to give direction to the ‘vehicle’.

It is important not to be assertive at these times. Be open to receive, be patient and let go of control. Focus on feeling rather than action. Let the River of change flow to you. Receptive power arise through alignment with creative power.

We are designed to be supported in the fulfillment of our purpose, individually and collectively. Trust that we will have all the resources that we need.

23 – The Gate of Assimilation – I-Ching – Splitting Apart (14.8.22 – 3.9.22 and 9.5.23 – 6.6.24 and 5.12.24 – 24.03.25)

This gate is about eliminating intolerance. We cannot survive in an intolerant world.

This energy is the awareness and understanding which leads to the acceptance of diversity. All foundations can split apart with new thought and awareness. Splitting concepts into small bits that can be articulated and understood.

With right timing words can change the world. A unique insight must be successfully communicated to the collective in order to be of value to others. If an individual can express their insight clearly to the collective they will eventually earn the collective’s respect. The real power of words is to transform and serve as a catalyst for evolution. Discretion and good timing are critical, choose proper moments for action.

Things are not the way they seem. Reality can be a Hall of Mirrors. Intrigues are multiplying, there are rumours of discontent. This is a time of illusion, disintegration, distrust and deception. Discovering illusion can be painful and confusing. It is your responsibilty to keep your strength intact ready for a period of revival following the disintegration.

8The Gate of Contribution – I- Ching – Holding Together (7.6.24 – 4.12.24

Co-creation is realised by the contribution of individuals to promote the personal empowerment of one and all.

Holding together produces success. Successful teamwork is achieved when the parties share a clear vision at the right time. In holding together with others, cling to your own principles but be willing to pt aside your personal desires for the good of the group. It is important to accept the structure of the team if you wish to receive its benefits, otherwise go off on your own.

If you want to become a leader, remember that to be the one who is the centre of influence is both a serious challenge and a responsibility. A leader is the one who assists others to expand their creativity.

When we are influenced by the energy of gate 8 there is a need to make a contirbution, to get things done, to make a difference and create change. The contribution of gate 8 needs right timing and right energies.

When we fulfill the expression of gate 8, it is the energy of being the creative role model who shares by walking their talk. This energy is inspiring and creates change by leading by example.

This is all leading us up to One of the most anticipated transits of the decade is Pluto in Aquarius.

Pluto in Aquarius

Aquarius

“Aquarius is a collective sign as it rules groups of people, and society is a large group of people, we say that Aquarius rules society as a whole. It rules the intellect and one-to-many and many-to-many communication. That’s why the internet and social media are ruled by Aquarius. Aquarius wants to bring the light of knowledge to as many people as possible.

“Communication” is not only verbal communication, but in general, the “distribution” of thoughts, words, energy, people, resources. Aquarius makes sure that information, resources, energy get distributed and shared where they are needed.

Aquarius has two ruling planets: Saturn (the traditional ruler) and Uranus (the modern ruler). Saturn gives Aquarius an interest in policy-making, and a focus on building solid foundations for the future.

Aquarius is also ruled by futuristic Uranus, which gives Aquarius the drive to continuously challenge the status quo, make changes, and innovate. Uranus is the planet of the sky, so Aquarius is also connected with sky-related topics like broadbands, air transportation, astronomy, astrology, astronomy, electricity, intergalactic communication, and artificial intelligence.

The Aquarian ‘revolution’ will eventually democratise our society.” – AstroButterfly

Pluto

Pluto is what grows and expands. What is growing and expanding on a collective level. It anchors us to a collective global cycle of Transformation. We may experience the challenge of the collective cycle as a drive to break away from the current collective consciousness

Astrology

“Pluto is still in Capricorn for another year and some might say it’s too early to talk about Pluto in Aquarius, but perhaps now is the best time to talk about Pluto in Aquarius.

Pluto enters Aquarius on March 23rd, 2023, retrogrades back into Capricorn on June 11th, 2023, and then back in Aquarius on January 21st 2024, staying there until January 19th 2044. That’s 20 years of Pluto in Aquarius! Every time Pluto enters a new sign our lives, and society as a whole changes in unprecedented ways.

Pluto takes 248 years to go around the Sun. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was between 1778 and 1798, a period of massive change all over the world. Pluto in Aquarius will expose what is rotten (Pluto) in our society (Aquarius) so that we can build a better structure and infrastructure for everyone here on Earth.

Pluto in Aquarius will initially expose what is no longer working in our society, because this is how Pluto operates: it purges what’s toxic and no longer needed.

While Pluto always asks us to let go of something that we find it incredibly difficult to live without and while Pluto may want to break our ego, Pluto never wants to break our spirit. It is only in Pluto’s underworld that we can find the sacred light of pure consciousness, stripped of ego.

Pluto in Aquarius will help you find your true power. Not a power that seeks to control, take advantage of, and win; but a power that seeks to express one’s truth in a way that serves the best interests of humanity at large. It is ok to be you, whoever you are.

Like with any Pluto transit, it won’t be pretty at first, but this process of a complete overhaul of the very fabric of society is very much needed. Pluto in Aquarius is that freedom we can only find when we take responsibility for our lives and become a more resilient, fully autonomous society that can self-regulate and quickly adapt to circumstances. “ – AstroButterfly

Human Design

Pluto brings us great transformation and large overarching, collective themes.

Pluto starts 2022 in Gate 61 moving to gate 60 on 15. January until 5 September 2022. Briefly back to 61 and then 60 from 11th November 2022 until 2025 apart from a montly interlude in the Gate 41 ( April -May 2024)

61- Gate of Mystery – I -Ching – Inner Truth (25.10.19 – 15.3.21 and 11.6.21 – 14.1.22 and 5.9.22 – 10.11.22)

If you waver in upholding your principles, you will be tested. If you are firm and strong the power of truth can break through even the most stubborn minds, including your own.

In debate, the power to perceive the truth in another’s position is essential. It is possible to influence even the most difficult people by shedding light on universal truths.

Truth is something to which all beings naturally respond.Truth becomes power when you let go of prejudice and make yourself receptive to the world as it really is. Cultivate a genuine openness to the way things are and possess a willingness to see into the heart of things, rather than to merely look at appearances.

Inner Truth is the pressure of the unknown and the unknowable. A pressure to know the absolute. It is the enrgy for discovering or thinking about mystery. The potential of Inner Truth is Silence. Become conscious of the relationship between your heart and your life. Connect with the fundamental wisdom that is within you, other people and all of nature.

This is the energy of Wonder and centering in the Truth. Become adept at relating to those who might come to share a common purpose for the greater good.

This is the energy of mutative thinking, the key is to wait for people to be ready before sharing what you ‘know’.

60 – Gate of Acceptance – I Ching – Limitation (16.3.21 – 10.6.21 and 15.1.22 – 4.9.22 and 11.11.22 – 11.04.24 and 24.05.24 – 29.01.25)

The Acceptance of Limitation is the first step in Transcendence.

This is the pulsing pressure to create change. Take what works and build on that, this is careful deliberte change. In terms of the collective, the change may or may not be of benefit to the whole. Limited amounts of energy are released as power bursts rather than sustained flows. Acceptance of the limitation is the heart of the process.

“ The mystery of music is the space between the notes” – Miles Davis.

It is in the ‘space’ that change takes place. Limits are necessary to channel energy, guide purpose and lend direction to life. Constantly swimming in the sea of boundless opportunity is exhausting.

Limitation is the evaluation of energy necessary for there to be forward movement. To conserve ourselves so we have the energy to go the distance wih our new creative ventures. It also enables us to prepare our resources for the long term creation of the new.

Select your limits carefully, be discriminating in setting personal boundaries but also kowing when to fly in formation with others. By consciously accepting useful limits, your enery can be channeled to good purpose. Are there circumstances, relationships, beaviours or patterns that need to shift or change to make more progress in our lives?

In groups or organisations rules and regulations should strike a balance between being too strict and too lenient. If they are too difficult to live with, frustration among the people can be destructive. The best path is the one that allows the unfolding of the individual potential while encouraging self-discipline and focus along the way. Aim for a middle way between discipline and freedom of spirit.

41- Gate of Fantasy – I Ching – Decrease (12.04.24 – 23.05.24)

In general decrease can free the spirit and fill the soul.

Increase and decrease are both part of the natural cycle of life. When we learn to accept a temporary decrease (position, feelings or possessions) it prepares the way for an increase in the future. There is no disgrace in letting go of your assests as this can be part of your investment in future gain, a gain that may come in the form of greater freedom, learning or development of character.

Letting go of material desires can lead to greater simplicity in daily life and good fortune. Let go of the frustration, resistance and regret over what is decreasing. See the larger picture and accept the cycle.

In the search to be fulfilled you look into any potential experience tht may move you through a cycle from emptiness to accomplishment.

The Human Design New year starts with the gate 41, it is an initiating enery that brings ne ideas and experiences into form. It is the idea that is waiting for right timing so it can be expressed into action.

Dreaming (visualising and imagining) opens doorways to experiences that bring satisfaction and completion. Allow yourself to dream while you are waiting and remember that Existence was created when we fell in love with emptiness.
